Job Title: Social Worker - Duty & Assessment Team

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: £39,384 - £42,620 per annum
Overall Purpose of the role:
Deliver and provide social work services, at a level appropriate for a professionally qualified post, to young people and families to ensure the welfare of children and young people is safeguarded and they are protected in accordance with the legal and statutory obligations of Northamptonshire Children’s Trust.
Work as part of the Duty & Assessment Team, conducting robust and timely assessments for children and families referred to Children’s Services. The role involves working closely with families and professionals to assess needs and risks, ensuring the safety and welfare of children. The Social Worker will make informed decisions about the most appropriate course of action, including interventions, referrals, and support services.

Essential Criteria:
Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)/ Certificate in Social Service (CSS)/ Diploma in Social Work (SW- SP)/ Home Office letter of recognition.
PQ Award Evidence of Post Qualification learning and Development.
Social Work England registration.
Demonstrate knowledge of current legislation relating to role such as the Children Act, Human Rights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to use word and excel to produce reports carry out correspondence and keep accurate records. Knowledge and understanding of using appropriate assessment tools and research.
Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety and a willingness to undertake training to enable implementation of procedures. Able to apply it effectively with both clients and Staff.
